The oven knob on my Magic Chef range has "Off" then temp.ranges all the
way to B for broil.Range has two pilots,1-constant pilot 2- heater pilot
.The constant pilot is lit and burns when  oven control knob is in "Off"
position.Get constant pilot to light,when oven control is turned to any
temperature setting a valve is opened in control knob sending gas to heater
pilot.This in turn is lit by constant pilot. When heater pilot comes on it
heats an element that goes to oven valve. When element gets hot it opens
oven valve and gas flows to oven burner.Constant pilot is lit when gas
supply valve is in open position,located under top burners left side.
