If the valve is too far gone for a lube job to work, then 
there's always the rebuild option.  Thetford has a kit that 
contains all the seals you'll need for the job.  Might be 
hard to get to, but the body halves are held together with 
stainless steel screws.  Removing them gives you access 
to the valve's seals.  Thetford part number: 09872
