[VAC] Re: Expanded question '48 Trailwind 'Track' Measurement w/illustration

Tuna, why must you re-invent the wheel?
Bud Cooper, as you well know, engineered, plans for the ladder frame, on
his 48 liner. I'm sure you can get a copy of those plans, and solve all
your problems. That silly and obsolete, pipe frame, is just not any
good. If you want, Exotic, have the ladder frame, made from aluminum
channel at some boat trailer mfg. They could easily make the trailer
from Bud's engineered plans. If you just want the frame, strong, and
not prohibitately expensive, have it made of a good hi grade steel.
Forget about that Mickey Mouse pipe frame, and those weak link
outriggers. As you could see from Buds coach, last summer, his frame is
strong, and he can pull it 80+ mph, with no problems. That way, if you
insist on some of your more illogical pursuits, like the hot tub, sauna,
cast iron claw tub, above floor tanks, and radiant floor heat, you will
have the steel foundation, adequate for carrying an impossible load.
