Hi Maurice,
I'm in the process of replumbing portions of my 64 Globetrotter.  Now,
some of the existing plumbing is copper and in pretty good shape so I do
not have to do the entire supply system.  That said...I have been using
reinforced 1/2" polyester PVC at $.99 per foot to replace the old some
parts that had been clearly hacked together.  This is the potable water
tubing sold by Western Marine.  This stuff is nice and very sturdy. I've
been using the nylon barb and barb/threaded fittings ( less than $1
each) and hose clamps from the hardware store ($0.10 each).  When I need
a valve I have been using threaded PVC valves from the hardware store
which run about $4 each. I only have used one so far as a shutoff valve
for the water tank.  I could probably do the entire system for less than
$150 in supplies and that is including some that might be done in
copper. I thought about using conventional PVC but since I had some
pretty small places to thread the lines through and lots of twists and
turns that were not a standard angle, the polyester PVC was a better solution.
