[VAC] Re: re tow vehicle

Randy and Cheyanne,
Jerry gave you good advice. Can-Am RV says that they always use 2
anti-sway bars on trailers longer than 25'. You can get some details on
hitch adjustment on their Web Site at http://www.can-am-rv.com

More 'n likely, you don't have enough weight on the tounge. This is
something you cannot guess at, you MUST get the trailer weighed and you
MUST weigh the tounge. Although I use a Sherline tounge scale from
Camping World, you can rig up an arrangement of levers with a bathroom
scale. The latter is just a 4" X 4" piece of lumber about 4' long and a
couple of other blocks of wood. As Jerry said, you need at least 10% of
the trailer's weight on the tounge, or 700+ pounds in your case. (I'm
guessing the SS at 7000#) More is always better for stability; I run
about 750# on a 6000# trailer, and it has NO tendancy to sway.
