[VAC] Bowlus For Sale

There is a 30's-vintage Bowlus for sale on eBay:

It's worth a look just to see the cool interior.
Speaking of which, it would be a travesty to
"remuddle" a rare trailer like this one -- it has
managed to survive for some 65 years intact. Imagine
if, say, 25 years ago this trailer had had its
interior stripped and replaced with what at the time
was a "stylish" interior, avocado green floral,
perhaps. 
Older trailers are becoming increasingly harder to
find, and as a historic preservationist, it pains me
to see them gutted of their original interiors. If, on
the other hand, your new baby sat out in a field for
years with the door open and the windows bashed out,
then by all means, gut it out. I'm not advocating
keeping your Airstream as a museum piece, just think
about the future, when perhaps the only original
Airstreams will be in museums.
NOTE: This is just MY opinion! Ultimately, your
trailer belongs to you, and you can do what you want
