So this is just the inside aluminum skin, polished, no other modifications?  And
there is still insulation between it and the outside skin?  I notice yours is an
older model; would this also be true on '60s ones after they went to the
fewer-pieces endcaps?  Seems to me I've seen photos of a stripped interior that
showed outer aluminum skin and then some pretty thick rib pieces like a ship's
ribs inside the hull.  On those maybe they had already removed the inner
aluminum skin, along with the "finishing" panels inside that that are the walls
we usually see on the inside?

Your design is kinda Barbarella for me, but it's a nice look, it hangs together.
