"East and West of the Colorado River Caravan"

The weatherman called for rain, but sun was streaming in at 7am. A quick check of yesterday's change
of fan belts showed they were still tight. The new power steering hose was still dry, no leaks.
Maybe we'll be have another string of days at passing garages without stopping to make a new friend.

With today's open schedule, we visited Hoover Dam. What we didn't know was how popular the Dam is
for visitors from everywhere in the world. We saw 12 parking areas overlooking this massive
structure and each area was full of cars and people. The Visitor's Center had lines of viewers
coming and going. The streets and sidewalks were jammed full of cars, trucks, buses and people.

Next on our list was Harrah's Hotel and Casino back in Las Vegas and using our free ticket to Mac
King's Comedy and Magic Show. In the excitement, we forgot lunch, but with the required $5 bar
minimum to see the show, we drank lunch. It was one of the funniest shows we've ever seen. Wonder
why.

Afterwards, we fed more rolls of nickels to the one arm bandits and took in the Freemont Street
Experience - a spectacular downtown pedestrian promenade. The beautifully landscaped four blocks
take on an entirely different look at dusk - when the lighting and sound extravaganza begins. All of
this in spite of rain and thousands of families enjoying a night out.

Back at the Airstream, our cats were overjoyed to see us. We were gone 11 hours. This is a lively
city. Four days and nights are not enough to see more than a small portion of it.
