Sounds like small pratical changes/improvements to me. I'd do the same if it makes the trailer a little more functional. Sorry about your wifes illness. If your close to Valdosta, Ga I would loan you my hitch so that you could take your trailer out. I'm working on my trailer now, so it want be moving for awhile. Let me know if you want to use it.
