[VAC] Re: A/S restoration of rear bath panels
Hi Roy,
The unit is a '69 23T Safari with the rear bath. The bathroom sink is in
the center of the rear wall. The entire sink and ledge is cast as a single
piece of thin plastic. To give the ledge (counter) strength, there's
plywood backing glued underneath the ledge. Same situation where the cast
plastic surrounds the toilet. There's a horizontal ledge around the toilet
that also has plywood to give the plastic some structural strength.
This plywood can be seen from the convenience hatch at the rear of the
trailer by looking up at the bottom of the ledge adjacent to the sink.
Whew!
If I can figure out how to post a few pictures, explaining the problem might
be simple. Pictures do tell a thousand words.
Any help with uploading pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks, Joy
