[VAC] Re: Polishes

The advice I got from Scott at Lake Country Pad Mfg Co.  for the DeWalt 
849 was to use 1500 rpm for the heavy cutting  Pre Polish Rolite and 1000 
for the Metal Polish and AP300.   I  followed  this advice . I now would 
be leary of  faster speeds because of potential heating/burning the 
metal.  What is the experience of others? I wonder how much difference 
speed makes to the weight/pressure the polisher applies to metal?
