I like the plywood idea. I'd use luan plywood. It's cheap ...$10 a 4 by 8
sheet last time I bought it... and it's got exterior grade glue. I had a
piece soaking in water for 6 months to test it and it held up great. It's
light and it's easy to cut. Just let it bond into place and forget about it.
I think I'll do that to mine when I fix the back floor under the sink.
