Jay - On my 1960 Tradewind, the Black water tank is
inside, directly beneath the stool, and extends back
beneath the lavy sink etc.  The stool is elevated, and
boxed in, but the tank is on the topside of the
plywood floor.  Same with my fresh tank - inside under
the front couch (which is under the front window.)

so, if yours ain't that way - you know it can be!
