I think you need a much larger truck for a 30' airstream. Probably a 3/4
ton. In 1968, the 29 and 31' Airstreams weighed a bit over 5100 pounds
dry, were rated to gross at 7100 pounds. That's a tough load for a
fullsize 1/2 ton.

In '68 the empty (no water, no propane tanks, no battery, no groceries,
no pots, no clothes) 30' Sovereign weighed 4670 pounds.
