Well Mohr I have only replaced One small piece in
my trailer but I have been replacing moving truck floors for 18 years at
work.Depending how big of a piece you need to replace and where, use a
circular saw with blade set to depth of plywood.5/8 in mine.Takes a little time
but get it right.Too deep your taking too much metal too shallow and it makes
the piece alot harder to take out.Good carbide laughs at steel. Either follow
straight lines or make a guide so when it comes time to replace it is straight
and square.Best to put bigger piece in than needed for strength.Use good
plywood,(marine grade is very good ,also usually full 5/8)If you can replace
full sheet thats great .You can cut in strips to remove.Go lengthwise with beam
close as possible to screws so after they are out you can get under them and
saw-zall bolt flush.Or hit it with a hammer!! Under wall is
tricky because skins cover a channel facing up ,bolted through plywood to beam. You cut along wall close as possible to get to these.Center of beam to center of beam is best. For small spots glue and screw plywood pieces under old stuff then glue new piece to that..For your other ?? |
