[VAC] Re: Git Rot

Before you worry about the floor, you need to find the leaks. In the
message archives you will find good stuff about that.

Get some tubes of Vulkem 116 calk (no, silicone will not do, it eats
aluminum), and a gallon of paint thinner, and 12 rolls of paper towels,
and don't need to have clean hands for a week after. Every gap in the
outside skin needs to have the old calk removed, cleaned, and new put
in. Vulkem is sticky and gooey, but it is the best. Lay the best bead
you can, push tube, not pull. Then clean and smooth with paper towels
and paint thinner. If bugs get stuck in it, you can wipe them off with
paint thinner after the caulk has set up. Don't ignore trim, letters,
lights, and especially vents, windows, and where the awning is attached.

Then after you get everything dry, start on the floor.
