I did a ;ot of research on tires, and found a lot of people who did not knw what
they were talking about.  Finally, I got the scoop on trailer rates tires.
Trailers have primitive suspensions, and their mission in life is to faithfully
follow the tow vehicle without shimmying or swaying, which would destabilise the
tow vehicle and cause a tragedy.  Therefore, the trailer rated tire is a stiff
tire with thick sidewalls, to resist side to side motion.  Almost the opposite
of a car tire.

So Goodyear Marathons or equivalent tires just go with the territory.
