5.8L, is this a 351 CID? You might be OK with that depending on the rear end
ratio. Personally I would like more power in reserve. I have the 460 engine
with a 4:10 rear end. I tow a 5000# Overlander. This summer we went
throughout the Colorado rockies with hardly a care. MPG's ranged from 8 to
13, depending on speed and altitude.
