[VAC] Thank You from the Archive Historian

First, congratulations and thank you to R.J. Dial who got this list back
up and running. I'm thrilled to be back on line with old aluminum addicts.

Second, thank you to Dan and Ora Wichmann of Rancho Cordova, CA. for
mailing me some photos and a brief history of their 1958 22' Flying Cloud
"two sleep" trailer. It was originally bought by Dan's parents in 1958 (#
5064) and has remained in the family ever since. Dan and Ora (# 7353) now
tow it behind a custom 1953 Ford pickup.

Dan and Ora also donated a copy of the sales flyer for the 1958 Flying
Cloud "two sleep." The floor plan was similar to the early 1960's Bambis,
with a divan across the front and a foam couch/mattress on the front street
side. Next towards the rear on the street side was a sink, range and
closet. A toilet, lavatory and shower/tub fit across the rear. Coming
forward on the curb side are a double wardrobe, refrigerator, broom closet
with wall heater and the door.

They also donated a copy of the Instruction Manual for the Krefft
Convertible "Electrigas" refrigerator and some price lists for 1960 and 1962.

It has taken me longer than expected to scan in old newsletters and sales
literature. I have ordered Abode Acrobat 4.0 to use in scanning old
Airstream materials for posting on the VAC Website, and hope to have the
first postings there in a month or so. Thank you all for your patience. In
the meantime, if you have any old sales materials on Airstreams, please
photocopy them and mail them to:
