Joe,

Airstream didn't use the current standard wire color coding scheme, and even
then, the pigtails on the trailer side may have been rewired by a prior
owner with no regard to any color scheme.

The only way to be sure of the right connections is to test with a 12V
battery.  Connect the negative to the trailer frame, and one by one, connect
a lead from the positive to each pin in the trailer socket and make a note
of what turns on.   (It's best to use an inline fuse while doing this).
Make a drawing of the plug, and label each pin according to its function.
Then match your diagram to that for the connectors on the tow vehicle side.
If you don't have a wiring diagram for the vehicle plug, make one using a
12v test light to determine what each pin activates.   Be sure to save  both
diagrams for future reference.
