Jrnymn, my "57" is single axle and someone in the past installed brakes I guess. I haven't gotten the "ol' boy" home yet but will have it here in a week or so. I haven't a clue about the walls. They seemed to be painted is all I remember. Will let you know when I get it here and start the renovation. Jerry
