I jjust purchased a used RM 2310 to replace a ma40 in my 68 trotter.   The 
old MA40 worked fine until a lightning surge fried the electric part.  It had 
a new cooling unit installed in 1990 and was never shut off until about 6 
months ago.  Guess It is still good.
