Re: [VAC] Plywood floor coating
I have used both epoxies with equal results I normaly use the thin laminating
resin because I generaly have it on hand The penterating epoxy is not sutable
for laminating fiberglass. I think if I ajob to do where I was going to use
all of the material I bought on the job I would buy the pinetrating epoxy
Have I confused you competly. Be sure to mix it in small batches as in a
larbe container it will set up very quickly. Laquor thinner will clean up
brushes.I normaly buy throw away brushes and not worry about them. I would
coat the underside of the floorand give the edges a couple of coats.than bolt
the floor to the frameand then give the top avery heavy coat let it run into
the seam aera so as to be sure that the edges are thourghly saturated. If
stainless steel bolts are avalable in your aera I would use them to fesen the
floor to the frame.
If I were going to go as far as you are going I would tate the frame some
where and have it sandblasted and prime it with a good zinkcromemate primer
and paint it with a goot 2 part polyutherthane automotive paint.
This trailer should than last a lifetime.
