Re: [VAC] Serial Number

Dear Airstrea,,,,,mama. I wish I could remember, but it sounds like
that wierdo Calif show,..............Twin Peaks. That show was so
goofy, I could only watch for about 5 minutes before I began to get
weirded out.

Here's what you have, ...........I think.

24DS 0357
11/59.....or 11/58???

I think you have a 1960, 24ft Trade Wind, with a Double bed, made in
Santa Fe Springs, CA, and mfg date, was Nov, 1959. The way to tell
for sure if it is a 1960, ......... In 1960, above the Airstream ID
plate, there was a large engraved plaque, in two colors, with an
engraving of Wally Byam in his beret, and a Pilot wheel in the center
indicating his sense of adventure and travel. That special plate was
not used on other years,.....only 1960. The 24 is for length in feet
from bumper to ball. The D stands for double bed, the S is for Calif
Plant, the 0 is for 1960, and the 357 is the production sequence number.
Now, where is three peaks ranch?
