What worked for me was to push the ball into the socket/plunger as far as it would go, and then I crimped the end of thje socket casing with a pair of vise-grips. It is still holding together since before Labor Day, and over 2500 miles, and is adjustable! I think peening it would also work. Nick '68 Safari
