Cell phones and driving safely are not mutually exclusive.  It's the same as
reaching for a map while driving.  What people forget is that the consequences for
switching mindsets from driving to doing something else while driving are
devastating.  Folks just have to remember that their primary task is driving,  and
no conversation is more important than driving.  When driving begins to get too
complex to talk, the phone gets dropped.

If folks could remember that, it wouldn't be such a problem.  As I recall, auto
insurance rates for smokers is higher for the very same reasons.  I'd expect that
the next thing that insurance companies will ask is whether or not you have a phone
in your car!
