[VAC] Leveling blocks

I have a tandem axle and I cut two 2x6s to level the rig, the shortest of
which is about three feet.  The other is about four feet.  They are long,
bulky, heavy, and difficult to store if not needed.  Do both wheels need to
be raised?  Can I safely raise only one wheel?  When I do the other "hangs"
in the air and looks funny.  Is there a better method?
