I did the same thing as Kent McDonald. I was in Mexico
and lost the roof vent cap over my kitchen and had a
piece of plexiglass sealed on and love it. In what had been a
rather dark kitchen I now have a very bright work area, see
little difference in sun heat and get to watch the rain drops
on a stormy day!
