Hi Angela,
The nice thing about working on one of the Vintage Airstreams, is that you
can do what you really want to do.  If you need parts and can find less
expensive parts anywhere, buy them and use them.  You will not lower the
value of your Airstream.

My wife and I bought our 1971 Trade Wind 25 foot in April of 1999.  We have
had so much fun with it, both traveling in it and working on it.  A few
parts we have bought from Airstream.  Most have come from somewhere else
(hey plumbing parts are by-in-large plumbing parts).

These unit take on a personality and exude quality and are fun.  Let us know
what you find and most of all ... have fun.
