Polly - i don't know what size slots you have in your alum. curtain
rails but i found some things in the sewing section at Kmart that fit
the rails on my 55 Safari - these things looked like a small dia.
button with a "stem" on one side about 1/4 in. long with a hole in the
end opposite the button - they were sewn to the curtain via the hole in
the stem and the button shaped "heads" were inserted in the rail slot -
i don't know what the things were called but they work just fine - also
make sure the slots in the rails have'nt been "narrowed" or otherwise
distorted - this type of damage will prevent the tabs from sliding
freely in the slots - although i don't know anything about sewing,
getting the things sewn on the curtains must be a pain in the rear - a
female friend i talked into sewing them on 12 panels of various sizes
told me never to bring any more of my "silly assed" Airstream projects
to her -   Ray P
