AH HA!!!  I thought you two might be re-writing history.   Martin, your
22 footer, which is probably a Safari, is a 1960 model, not a  1961.
1960's were the last year for a straight,......I beam type axle, with
leaf springs.  The proof is stamped on your ID plate, and the wiring
diagram. You have one of the last 1960's ever made.  12-60 is the date
of manufacturer, December , 1960.   Also, your serial number tells the
story,   22TDSS0544,
22 ft in length, TDSS, Twin, Double, Santa fe Springs, and 0544, is
1960, with a production sequence number of 544, which may or may not
mean, the 544th coach made in 1960.  I tried to call Karnak, for
confirmation, but he would not answer the phone.  I guess he already
knew this was a wild goose chase.
