Annie - try using "roofing felt" (the thinnest mtl you can get) that is
sold at most home improvement stores to make a template - it will
"squish up" around the curves better than cardboard - make the first
cut an inch or two up on the end wall then "refine" it with a second or
more cut until you get it right - that is unless you have ripped out
the existing floor  and do not have any surface to lay the template mtl
on - which i did - in that case get a piece of plywood about the width
of the floor and slide it as far against the end of the trailer as you
can and lay the felt on top of the plywood and "finesse" it from there
