RE: [VAC] Aluminum Propane Tanks

My 1966 Safari had two stock 10 gallon tanks onboard when I bought it.  They
were chained to the tongue.  I asked why the chain was necessary.  The
previous owner said that aluminum tanks were so popular that they needed
this special security.  I am now looking for a less pretentious way of
securing the tanks, assuming that the previous owner was correct.

Rather than polish them, I have used a light steel wool pad and some
cleanser to clean them.  They look great with just the natural patine.
