Re: [VAC] Bubble update

Hi Hunter:

This guy does the following:

You are apparently talking about a campground situation where you have a
drain hookup.

When I have the "slinky" attached to the campground drain and the
trailer, the black water gate valve is closed. In this configuration the
the grey water is free to drain through the drain hose instead of
draining to the ground. So you are right, there is no accumulation of
grey water that could be used for flushing the drain hose.

When the blackwater tank is dumped, I usually follow by pouring a bucket
or two of water down the toilet (you could use a hose) and opening the
tank gate valve again and running this batch, more than one if I have
time, through the "slinky".

I use one of those three-way (Y) hose splitters with the ball valves at
the water inlet to my trailer and have a short (~4 foot) hose with a
garden spray nozzle on it attached to the "other" half of the "Y".

After draining the blackwater tank, and running extra buckets
(batches...I don't need no steenking batches...) through it, I disconnect
the slinky from the trailer, hold it up and use the short
aforementioned hose and sprayer to flush it into the campground drain.

The "Blue-Bomb" technique shall be saved for another time.
