I agree GQ.  Many nervous Nellies, enjoy exageration.   A large
explosion  would require a great quanity of hydrogen and a spark in
order to bend metal.  Since hydrogen is lighter than air, it has a
tendency to rise and discipate quickly.   Now, if the battery itself
exploded, from overcharging or defect, you would have a mess on your
hands.   Would appreciate some input from battery experts, or some of
the engineers on this list.
