FWIW, I had good luck using Teflon lubricant on the tambour doors on my old Caravel. I tried a spray with a solvent, a dry powder, and a Teflon bicycle chain lubricant, also with solvent. As I remember, the aerosol spray worked best. They really loosened up after applying it. Don
