I've only seen that type of seal, and have yet to replace one.  At the
time I was thinking that if I had to, I would drill out the rivets,
salvage the aluminum retainers, and reinstall them using some if the
newer gaskets sold nowadays.  

BTW, I requested a SOFFSEAL catalog about 4 weeks ago, so it ought to be
showing up soon.  I'll share if it has anything good.  

I ended up getting some tri-fold weather-stripping from a local bodyshop
for the '65 Caravel. Will be installing it soon.
