Something for you and the group to consider. Our dealership has gotten to the
point were we rarely change shoes or magnets on electric brakes. The main reason
is we have local supplier of built up brake assemblies. They are referred to as
"loaded backing plates". The pluses are you get a complete new, springs,
magnets, shoes etc. It takes a fraction of the time. A lot neater. And for our
customers a lot less expensive with the time saved. The loaded backing plates
retail for around $60-65 ea. You might check around to see if there is a local
source for this item.
