[VAC] Refrig. pilot

Hi Y'all,

We have a question someone might be able to answer before we head out to
AZ at the end of the month.  We have a '68 Caravelle with what appears
to be the original refrigerator (Dometic).  It runs great but while
traveling the pilot light won't stay on consequently we have to use ice
while we're traveling.  Is this a safety feature (the pilot going out)
or is this something we could fix?  Any advice would be appreciated.
