I see no need to leave with the gas on the fridge when I travel.  I just shut 
the fridge door and at the most open it to grab some water.

Everything stays cold, even the ice cubes don't melt.

Actually, I never use the gas for the fridge because I donlt boondock.  I 
might have to at the Sarasota Rally here in Florida in a few weeks though.
