[VAC] New Kid On the Block

Hi, I recently purchased a 1974 27' Airstream International with a rear bath. 
 On closer inspection, I discovered several of the partitions have pulled 
away from the sides,  The one dividing the bedroom area from the kitchen in 
particular and the lower area of the galley kitchen sink.  I have talked to a 
couple of folks and they tell me I have a "tail dragger,"  I also have 
"elephant ears" or triangular shaped patches on the rear just above the 
bumper where some "surgery has been done in the past. 

When I had some new tires put on it-even though the ones on it had plenty of 
tread, I was told the "DOT" code revealed they were over four years old and 
thus not safe/reliable to use.  A couple of the wheel bolts are stripped and 
won't stay in the hub so I have to solve that problem.  I could go on and on 
about all the things I have found wrong but don't want to bore you.

If you experienced folks can offer some advice to a somewhat dis-enchanted 
Airstream owner, I would be grateful.
