About a month ago, we had a freak accident with a
french fryer and spilled about a quart of vegetable oil on the floor.
Yesterday, I pulled up the 27 year old carpet and revealed the big greasy spot
on the floor. We are replacing the carpet with 12" square self-adhesive
vinyl flooring, and it won't stick in that area. I've tried a little
Pine-sol, and sawdust to no avail. Any ideas? I've got Liquid Nails
sub-floor adhesive, but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it lay
flat.
