Better than a die grinder is a purpose-made 'air cutoff tool' because it
has a guard over 1/2 the wheel and usually less shaft projection in
front of the wheel. They're available from people like Harbor Freight
(http://www.harborfreight.com) rather inexpensively. I can't imagine
being without mine.
