[SilverStreak] Advice and comments on Flooring replacement in Silver Streak

Has anyone replaced the old carpet in these trailers?  We tore out the 
carpet but are wondering if it would not be better to install laminate 
flooring in these areas.  We left the carpet under the cabinets nad are 
debating putting the laminate up next to the cabinets.
