Re: [SilverStreak] SS Gold Trim Question

You know - I don't have a Silver Streak, but rather several Streamlines, so
am making my judgements based upon the Streamlines.

I don't really believe that the original Silver Streaks came with the gold
trim held in place with screws. The Streamline certainly are not.

What I think, is that the factory originally used pop rivets. Streamline
did. They were not bucked rivets, but the regular small pop rivet with the
hole in the center where the stem was pulled through. The only difference
is that they are a gold colored rivet.

I do have a small supply of gold pop rivets myself, that I was given at one
time, but have never seen this color for sale. That would not prevent
anyone from painting the rivets gold however.
