Yes, replace with stainless. No issues. No sealer.
#8 Phillips stainless fits 1/8" rivet hole.
If yours has the black vinyl insert, that is readily available, a Camco 
product now UV stabilized in 3/4 for the lower and in the wide for the 
upper. I have a vendor for both.
