I replaced all 4 of the latches on my "Plug" door.  The latches are
available as Window Safety Latches and are painted RED.  I believe the
silver latches are no longer available.  When on the road, I put a big
vertical strip of Duct Tape on the door, to make sure it does not
separate from the main door on the road.

Yeah, the casement window latches on my '79 screen panel door are
pretty poor. You'd think the SS designers could have done a better job
considering most of their work quality.
Thanks for reminding me to add a decent latch to my screen panel. I've
meant to do it for a long time BEFORE my panel gets wasted.
