Steve, "trying to find out what the little alum box on the inside of the right side about 4' up between the door and the right front window like a large pack of cigs with no top on my 1950 22' Clipper". Clipper's of your era were made by AS, SS, and Streamline. The evolution of Clippers of the period had many similarities as each made some sort of variation of the other. Take a flash light and a mirror and look top-down into the opening. Maybe this is a indirect light. Do you have a switch that does nothing and is maybe for this if a light? How is the box affixed, with rivets, a screw, slide in to a lip? What is on the outside of the trailer adjacent to the light? The box could be a rear cover or access for something outside. It is unlikely, but the box could also be some sort of vent. These trailers were all hand made. In my experience, each trailer has differences from the other and it is common to find differences on each right up to the last trailer produced. It is likely you have something unique to your trailer and no one will know what it is you have with the little box. Clipper's of your era were made by AS, SS, and Streamline all at or about the same time. The evolution of Clippers of the period had many similarities as each made some sort of variation of the other. -Eddie- Houston, TX
