I've camped several times for two weeks or more and have only run down two  
tanks once using space heater at night, gas lamp, stove and gas water heater  
24/7.  I do however have a spare tank that i carry around for just such a  
case.  And i've never ran the third tank down.  And if needed, i could  always get 
a tank refilled when i make a food run to town.  And i agree  with the 
comments about tongue weight.  I have a 1958 Clipper with front  dinette so any 
weight from batteries, tanks, etc just helps me with my tongue  weight percentage. 
 I also use a leveler hitch and sway bar and have never  experienced road 
sway in high winds or from other high profile vehicles.   best of wishes, jim
