RE: [SilverStreak] combination AC heat units?

Curt, the "ceiling" heat is one of two types.

One is a 1500 watt strip heater mounted in the A/C unit. It is an n/off
manual unit as the heater is not on a thermostat.

The other is a heat pump unit. It is a reverse cycle A/C unit and is
limited to how well it heats by the outside air. The cooler the outside
air, the less it will heat. These unit have a shut off and require
supplemental heat below about 35 to 40 dF ambient. The air they blow is
just luke warm.

I think your money would be better spent by buying a replacement roof A/C
and a couple of nice ceramic heaters for the trailer. You can run two 1500
watt heaters from the 30 amp service. You do have to make sure that you get
each one on a separate circuit breaker to split the load as one heater will
draw about 13 amps.
